Finances and Freedom

Writing by Bree on Sunday, 10 of February , 2008 at 3:56 pm

Also I am going to do our lives a favor and get our finances in A one shape.

I have heard of Dave Ramseys Total Money Makeover and dont really know if it is any good or if it is a total waste of time and money. But I am determine to be a better steward with the money that we have.

I did a grocery shop last week and spent $ 200.00 whcih has lasted us a fortnight that is nappys and everything. So I am very proud of that but I have had to go and spend an extra $40.00 on milk nappies and a couple of other things. But I am going to clear out the cupboard this week and by next week I will go shopping again.

I truly am looking for ideas on how to save money and time on my life and with my family.

If you have any ideas please do send them thanks :)

Hi

I was thinking about money-saving ideas and I have the following:

- cut back on electricity usage by turning off the lights in the rooms you’re not using, switching off electrical appliances from the mains (i.e. off standby), only boiling as much water as you need in the kettle and not filling it up.

- Cut back on water usage: not running the tap while you’re brushing teeth, half-running the bath instead of filling it right up.

- Packed lunch instead of buying out

You might already be doing some of these.

take care…

Every little thing counts. Dave Ramsey preaches eating rice and beans. Which doesn’t sound appealing, but it is cheap to by.

I think we all need some financial discipline.
