Sleep Torture, Bribery and Pride

Writing by Bree on Thursday, 11 of October , 2007 at 7:55 pm

We are having absolutely no real sleep. Sasha doesn’t like to sleep at night but I am working on getting her more settled, don’t really feel like we are making much progress.  I am sure that she is working for the FBI or something to torture us.

Although the torture of lack of sleep is hard, she is thriving she has but on 850 grams and grown 4cm in two weeks. That makes me feel a lot better knowing that she is growing and that my milk is ok. Last night I tried to give her a formula bottle just to get some sleep. Well I ended up crying a lot thinking that I was a failure.  She drank 1/2 of it than had some boob.  Than woke every hour screaming due to tummy ache. So formula just wasn’t to be.

When the health nurse came today she was really pleased with Sasha and was very supportive and offered a lot of services that are available in our area. As we have no family living here that can help she was very happy with how we are progressing and said that Sasha was a great baby.

James and Letise were outside playing while the health nurse was here and Sam was having a sleep. The health nurse said it was nice to hear the kids playing so well together. Which reminded me that James and Letise can get on, most of the time I feel like all they do is fight.

Yesterday the kids and I went to the shops to get some food. I was feeling a tad concerned that I wouldn’t be able to do it on my own, but I surprised that we managed rather well. In the end Sasha started to scream her lungs out and the other kids went feral. So I put Sasha back in the pram but Sam in the front part of the pram telling him not to lay on Sasha and pulled the other two kids into line by bribing them with Smarties. By this time all these people were looking at me with this sadden look of THAT GIRL IS NUTS. So I left the shopping center with my head held high struggling to push a pram and a trolley, but hey I did it. (don’t think it is possible to hold your head high when you feel like a tool.lol)

I am loving being a mum and seeing everything as such a blessing although at times I do feel a tad overwhelmed. Being where I am in life is great, but it is challenging.

Praise God that I have him.

I Do Follow You! Do You Follow Me?

Writing by Bree on Thursday, 4 of October , 2007 at 10:02 am

“Do Follow” is a term used by bloggers and site owners who choose to “follow” the valuable links left behind by members and commentators. Most websites especially blogs tend to mark links with the “no follow” tag. When the no-follow tag is used links in the source code of the page have this trailing tag; rel=”nofollow”. Why don’t we use the “no follow” tag? Well Google does not follow links that have the rel=”nofollow” tag. This means that should you leave a link to your site it would not be recognized by Google search engine!

You Comment I Follow

So why have the rel=”nofollow” tag at all? This tag has been created (by Google) to reduce spam & spammy websites from leaving their valueless links behind, crowding the search engines and Internet with non important sites. Most people use the tag to deal with spam and it is the lazy way to deal with spam in most cases. We however manually review every single comment, spammers don’t have a chance here but the majority of comments we get don’t require moderation and in themselves are of high value, we think their sites are great too!!!

Do you follow me? We have abolished the rel=”nofollow” tag and have a strong do-follow policy which ensures your links will be followed and this is great news for our visitors. We are proud to have you here, glad that your visiting and sincerely hope you like this site! Where you go we will follow! This is our promise, feel free to comment and leave your favorite site link so we can check it out.

No No Follow

Where you comment I will follow! I love visiting the sites and blogs of my visitors and commentators. If you leave a comment be sure I will take a look and may even give you a free plug if I like your content :)

Don’t despair we do follow you! Comment and be followed! So do what is right fellow your being followed ;)
